True Brew Barista started in 2008 out of Robert and Stephanie’s home. After our first Market Days it was evident that Downtown was the place for us and our Bicentennial Square location became our second home. Since opening in 2009 we have expended serval times and have taken over the whole down stairs of the McShane’s Block Building. In 2011 we added Beer and Liquor to our rapidly expanding menu. In 2012 we teamed up with Gibson’s Bookstore and opened our second location in the Love your neighbor building. We have big plans in 2016 including the long awaited opening on Sundays coming in the fall.
We are proud to be part of several Downtown organizations and are striving to do our part in revitalizing and maintaining our beautiful Downtown Community. We proudly participate in Market Days, Halloween Howl, Midnight Merriment, The Rock ‘N Race and Intown Concord’s Discover Downtown.
We are unique in our approach to music. We are an originals only venue. We host local and touring musicians. We have all ages, all originals open Mic every Thursday Night. Bands Friday and Saturday nights.
The True Brew Crew is a unique and awesome group of people that work at our two locations. We are proud of the team and please allow us to introduce them to you
Meet Robert and Stephanie – Owners, Head Baristas, Visionaries, Event Planners, and awesome people!
Meet Caity – bookworm, cat/dog video obsessor and rainy day lover
She’s a local of Concord who joined our team in October 214 and now serves as Manager and Barista at the Bicentennial location. During morning shifts, you’ll be greeted with her cheery disposition, overhear The Killers on Pandora radio or experience her over-caffeinated enthusiasm fueled by cold brew with a shot of mocha. When not at work, you’ll find Caity snapchatting pictures of her cats, making friends with dogs, or reading up on unsolved mysteries.
Meet Jill – A goofy space cadet who is oblivious to pop-culture
Originally from Weare New Hampshire, she joined our team in May 2014 and now serves as Senior Barista at the Bicentennial location. During morning shifts, you’ll likely notice her ADHD, overhear Lumineers on Pandora or taste her favorite alcoholic beverage, the White Russian. When not at work, you’ll find Jill playing computer games, getting lost outdoors or reading science fiction.
Meet Aina – an avid thrifter, lifelong learner and jewelry maker.
Originally from Princeton New Jersey, she joined our team in October 2015 and now serves as Bartending Manager at the Bicentennial location. At the bar you may experience dry sarcastic humor, overhear Tame Impala playing on Pandora or taste her favorite beverage, a cider with elderflower liquor and a splash of seltzer. When not at work, you’ll find Aina discovering new music, playing N64 games or researching articles online.
Meet Will – fashion icon, class clown and true friend.
Originally from Lexington Kentucky, he joined our team in July 2016 as a Bartender at the Bicentennial location. At the bar, you’ll experience his witty sass as he jams to 2000’s hip hop radio and creates his favorite alcoholic beverage, a prohibition whiskey sour. Join him every Monday for Mystery Box, to have a mixed drink based on the liquor of your choice. When not at work, you’ll find Will playing ultimate frisbee, taking frequent naps or exploring New Hampshire with his wife and two dogs.
Meet Jake – A subtlety energetic and an overall confusing person who is incomprehensibly comprehensible.
He’s a native to Concord, who joined our team in April 2016 as a Barista at the Bicentennial location. With a positive attitude, he’ll brew you a kickass coffee. Perhaps if you catch him listening to Van Halen or James Brown, he’ll make you his favorite, an americano with Irish cream and French vanilla flavoring. When not at work, you’ll find Jake writing music, at school or doing completely trivial English homework.
Meet Curtis – a creative, quiet and thoughtful member of society.
He’s a local of Concord who joined our team in June 2016 as a Barista at the Café location. While ordering, you may overhear him sharing a bad jokes and musical opinions or watch him jam to Stevie Wonder as he brews his favorite drink, a hot dirty London fog with cream earl grey tea. When not working, you’ll find Curtis playing saxophone, spending time with friends and family or listening to records.
Meet Sophie – a knower of random things, future acrobat and almost vegetarian.
She’s a local to Concord who joined our team in September 2016 as a barista at the Café location. With coconut water by her side, things are bound to get awkward as she jams to Princess Chelsea on Pandora. When not at work, you’ll find Sophie talking to her cat, dancing around the house or laughing at things nobody else thinks are funny.
Meet Marissa–a passionate snacker, thrifting art enthusiast & bar trivia contender
She’s a local of Concord who joined our team in September 2016 as a Barista at the Bicentennial location. While in line, you may see her profusely apologizing, staying hydrated with H2O or rocking to shameless 90’s pop music. When she’s off, you’ll likely find her running from the parking police, playing music or hanging out on porches.
Meet Kelly – an environmentalist, Instagram fanatic and flannel shirt collector.
Originally from Grand Forks North Dakota, he joined our team in August 2016 as a barista at the Bicentennial location. During the evening shifts, you’ll see him jamming to Flume on Pandora radio, sipping a hot non-fat latte and mildly flirting with his exotic Midwest accent. When he’s off, you can find him wandering the woods, reading non-fiction or advocating for renewable energy.
Meet Kyle & Josh – Marketing helpers and Best Customers Ever! Chances are good that you may see a sandwich on the chalk board with their name on it AND you may see them there “once in a while” (aka. all the time). 😉
Kyle owns NH Strategic Marketing
